Lil'wat Nation response to Flute Connector & Outer High Note Trails (2014-08-15)

The Whistler Blackcomb CRA and Garibaldi Park lie within the traditional territory of the Lil'wat Nation (Mount Currie Band). With respect to Project A, the " Flute Connector" trail, we do not support its development at this time. We look forward to having further discussions with BC Parks regarding the proposed Project B trail. This area of Garibaldi Park has archaeological potential and traditional use values for the Lil 'wat Nation. We recommend that both an archaeological and traditional use study occur.
